I cant say enough good things about this place. I buy their extra large gourmet cupcakes in flavors like white trash and cosmopolitan for the birthday of everyone I know. The monster cookie and margarita cookies are amazing!!! The prices are really reasonable. And the owner is almost always there and very friendly!
So bad, but so so good...
Warning: Ordering from Sugar Shack dramatically increases your risk for diabetes. Other than that, this place is magical. They have regular cupcakes, which are great. Then they have premium cupcakes, which are topped with so much tasty icing they actually get complaints from people who fret they're getting too much frosting (the FDA would agree it's too much, but c'mon). Specialty flavors rotate monthly, and you can name your own flavor if you come in at the right time! They even deliver. Let me say that again- they deliver cupcakes, as in to your door. Who wouldn't want cupcakes delivered to them?
A friend and I visited here the other night for the first time. She had the Peppermint Cookies & Cream cupcake, and I had the Green Tea and Red Bean cupcake. They were both amazing. Although we were both very full afterward, we couldn't resist ordering cookies. She had a plain chocolate chip one, and I had a cappuccino chocolate chunk one. They must've been straight out of the oven, because they were both warm and gooey when given to me. And, best of all, they're open really late! I especially recommend this to people looking for dessert after Wharton Center performances! :)
